What we’re for
Everything we make starts with one question: will this help a church bring people to Jesus? That question shapes each app from the first sketch to the day it ships.
The software stays in a supporting role. It holds the week of ministry together, remembers what was said last month, and hands time back to the people doing the shepherding. It does not stand in the pulpit, and it does not pretend to have a shepherd’s judgement.
We’re a small workshop: broadly evangelical, non-denominational, and glad to serve a congregation of sixty as readily as one of six thousand.
What we’ve built
Sermons of Light
One workspace for the whole week of preaching: study the text, shape the message, write it in your own voice, and carry it through Sunday and the week after.
Help sits behind a button and stays there until it’s asked for.

A church operating system
Everything you need to run your church, held in one place.
Our code of conduct
Five promises we intend to keep. If we ever fall short of one, tell us.
Where we stand
We believe the Bible, as written, is the truth. It guides our mission and everything that leaves this workshop.
The pulpit stays yours
We will never write a sermon for you, and we will never copy your voice. Preaching belongs to the person God called to do it, and that person is not us.
Your work stays yours
We do not sell your notes, your sermons, or anything about your congregation, and we do not use them to train a model. What you put in, you can take back out.
No dark patterns
One price list. No hidden tiers, and no maze on the way out. Cancelling is simple, and we tell you that before you ever pay us.
Plain about the machine
When a computer helped with something, we say so. Nothing shows up in your document that you did not ask for, and we will not let a guess sound like a fact.
Priced for the small church
A church of sixty should be able to afford the same tools as a church of six thousand. If cost is the only thing standing in your way, write to us.
Who’s behind it
I’m a software builder, not a pastor. I don’t pretend to know what it feels like to carry a congregation or stand in the pulpit every Sunday. I came to faith later in life, and my local church has shaped me in ways I’ll never fully repay.
What I do know is software. I’ve spent my career building it, and I’ve watched how much invisible work sits behind a Sunday sermon: study, counseling, hospital visits, administration, interruptions, and the pressure of another week already coming.
Sermons of Light is the part I know how to build. One workspace that keeps the work together, puts help behind a button, and leaves the preaching to the person God called to do it. Shining Light Labs is the workshop the next ones come out of.
